After 35 remarkable years with ECORP, we bid farewell to one of our most beloved team members, Keith Kwan. As a biologist based in our Rocklin office, Keith has been a staple in the Biology Department throughout his career, and he recently retired to pursue his passions.
Keith’s expertise in avian biology is legendary. Whether in the field or in the office, he has been the go-to expert for all things avian. His ability to recognize even the most elusive bird species has amazed and educated us all, and his passion for ornithology has been truly inspiring. Although birds are his first love, Keith is a well-rounded biologist who has been instrumental in leading aquatic resources delineations through the company’s history, preparing biological resources assessments, mentoring biology staff, and assisting with CEQA documents over the years. Beyond his knowledge and technical skills, Keith has been a dedicated ECORPian since the beginning, always greeting his colleagues with a warm smile and a witty joke.
While we will certainly miss his presence at ECORP, we take comfort in knowing that retirement will provide him with new opportunities to pursue his love of bird watching, photography, and other adventures. No longer confined by project deadlines, Keith is now free to travel to the far corners of the globe, capturing images of exotic birds in their natural habitats.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire ECORP family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Keith for his decades of dedication, wisdom, and camaraderie. Though he may be retiring, his impact on ECORP will endure, and his absence will be deeply felt. We wish him the very best.
