Exotic Aquatic Wildlife Species Removal Pilot Study and Implementation, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton

ECORP Consulting, Inc. designed and performed a pilot study to determine the most efficient and effective methods for the removal of exotic fish and crustacean species from the estuaries and streams on Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. Following the pilot study, ECORP began implementing the exotic species removal program at the base through the combined use of Fyke nets, seining, and minnow traps. The exotic species removal program is a multi-year effort to restore and enhance the streams and estuaries on the base for native fish and other native aquatic species.
