CalCIMA, a trade association for the construction and industrial material industries in California, held their annual Education Conference in Napa, California from October 28 through 31, 2024. The event was held at the Meritage Resort and Spa and included multiple committee meetings, presentations, mixers, a karaoke after-party, and a banquet with a Halloween costume contest. Guest speaker Alex Sheen (Because I Said I Would) gave a keynote presentation that was comedic, tear-jerking, and overwhelmingly inspiring.
ECORP Air Quality & Noise Analyst/Associate Environmental Planner, Rosey Worden, and Senior Biologist, Taylor Dee, attended the conference. Rosey and Taylor attended multiple presentations and sessions throughout the conference including the environmental committee meeting, CARB ACF meeting, and the Women of CalCIMA Mixer. During the environmental and natural resources meeting species and habitat issues were discussed and Jeffer Mangels from Butler & Mitchell LLP provided an informative presentation about recent changes in CDFW’s permitting and enforcement.
ECORP sponsored and operated an exhibitor booth where Rosey and Taylor interacted with attendees and provided details about ECORP’s services.
