ECORP staff attended the 2026 California Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) State Conference at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina held April 23 through April 26, 2026 in San Diego, California. The theme for this conference was Sand to Shores: Pathways to Thriving Communities, which included 50 sessions across five tracks covering emerging trends in CEQA and regulatory updates, case studies, best practices, streamlining, climate adaptation and resilience, environmental justice, regional issues and approaches, as well as a track for students and emerging professionals. Conference attendees included Alejandro Garcia, Chris Stabenfeldt, David Atwater, Freddie Olmos, Michael Slavick, Lindsay Buck, Samantha Alfaro, Christopher Uminski, Sandra Pentney, and Natalie Newman. Attendees were welcomed to the conference’s opening night by AEP’s Jam Band featuring environmental professionals from across the state including ECORP’s own Chris Stabenfeldt!
As a founding member and chair of the AEP Noise and Vibration Committee (click on link for more information), Alejandro Garcia from our Irvine office has extended ECORP’s participation with and support for the California AEP. Last August Alejandro presented an online seminar to the Superior Chapter of AEP, which services members in 24 California counties. Alejandro has also been instrumental in the preparation of a White Paper that will be published by AEP later this year.
We look forward to a continued presence at the AEP State Conference next year in Santa Rosa!
