Archaeology Field Technicians
ECORP Consulting, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for temporary, on-call field crew for archaeological projects in southern California, primarily focused in the Orange County and San Diego County areas. Responsibilities may include construction monitoring, pedestrian survey, site mapping and recording, excavation, and other duties as assigned. Requirements include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology or closely related field, successful completion of an archaeological field school or field methods course at an accredited university, at least 6 months of full time professional experience, and a work history that includes projects in California. We are looking for team members that can contribute to our cooperative environment with strong communication skills, ability to multitask, technical writing skills, who can produce high quality deliverables and exhibit professionalism in interactions with coworkers, agency staff, and clients. We are looking for applicants for a range of positions, including junior-level and project-manager level positions.
In addition, we are particularly in need of applicants with one of more of the following skill sets:
- Biologists/botanists experienced in conducting plant surveys
- Trained wetland delineators, and/or wetland ecologists
- Biologists knowledgeable about vernal pool ecosystems and other Central Valley ecosystems

Minimum qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related area

Botanist/Restoration Ecologist:
ECORP Consulting is seeking a mid-level botanist/restoration ecologist for our Southern California office. This position involves acting as Task Manager on habitat restoration and botanical projects that range from small sites to large, complex sites throughout southern California. Duties will include conducting general botanical surveys; focused special status plant surveys; designing and managing wetland, riparian, and upland habitat restoration/creation projects; preparing habitat restoration and mitigation plans, conceptual restoration plans, and habitat enhancement and management plans; supervising the implementation and maintenance of restoration projects; data analysis; statistical analysis; review of GIS database information; participating in client meetings; and presenting projects with Microsoft PowerPoint. Strong technical writing skills are required and proven experience with writing annual reports and agency coordination in support of mitigation sign-off is preferred. Local or specific experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree; however, a graduate degree in botany, restoration ecology, biology, or related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years in professional environmental consulting experience and an in-depth knowledge of Southern California flora are required.

We are currently looking to fill biological monitoring positions on challenging and high profile projects involving an array of biological resources spread across Southern California. This will be an excellent career opportunity to work as part of an outstanding environmental consulting team. Professionals should be able to perform biological monitoring and survey activities on large-scale construction projects. B.S. in Biology or related field preferred. Monitors are expected to produce reports daily via computer, have excellent communication skills, familiarity with GPS, performing duties with integrity as requested. ECORP Consulting, Inc. is currently hiring for all levels of wildlife and fisheries biologists, botanists, and restoration ecologists (entry, mid-level, and senior) in all of our Southern California offices (Redlands, Santa Ana, and San Diego). Job duties include general field surveys for biological resources, sensitive species surveys, jurisdictional waters delineation and permitting, preparation of biological reports, sensitive species permitting, preparation and implementation of mitigation and restoration plans, and preparation of biological resources sections of CEQA and NEPA documents. Mid-level and senior analysts would also have appropriate business development responsibilities for that level. Education requirements include a bachelor’s degree in biology, wildlife management, fisheries, zoology, botany, restoration ecology, or a related field and 0-5 years of experience for an entry-level biologist, 5-7 years of experience for a mid-level biologist, and 7+ years of experience for a senior biologist. Applicable advanced degrees and/or USFWS/CDFG permits and MOUs may substitute for years of experience.
