Old River Elementary School (Bixler Road Elementary)

ECORP Consulting, Inc. was hired to provide environmental services for the Old River Elementary School project by the project owner, Knightsen Elementary School District. Work was performed to assist in owner and contractor compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s (SWRCB) National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activities (CGP). ECORP designed the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and filed the Notice of Intent (NOI) for a 22-acre new school construction project. ECORP SWPPP staff coordinated with the project engineer, construction manager and three main individual construction contractors during the SWPPP design process. During construction work, ECORP staff also performed on-call SWPPP monitoring and reporting for the project at the request of the owner and construction contractors. During routine site monitoring ECORP SWPPP Monitors coordinate with construction contractors and the project owner to provide recommendations to promote water quality and for increased erosion and sediment control.

Additional duties ECORP performed for the project, included filing the Notice of Termination (NOT) with the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) as well as attending construction contractor meetings to discuss SWPPP strategy and provide Best Management Practice (BMP) recommendations.
