We are currently recruiting for the following positions at our Rocklin office:

Environmental Planner

ECORP is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, client-centered professional to fill a role of Environmental Planner in the Rocklin office. The team member will be responsible for conducting and overseeing impact analysis, report preparation, business development, research, and field work related to CEQA/NEPA documentation and technical studies. Experience with CEQA/NEPA-Plus compliance and/or Caltrans requirements are highly desired. Resource agency (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Regional Water Quality Control Board) permitting experience a plus. The level of responsibility and performance should be that of someone with at least 6 years of relevant experience in the consulting industry. One of the primary responsibilities of the position is to support and grow our CEQA/NEPA practice as well as contribute to a statewide practice in coordination with our northern California offices:

We are looking for professional consultant with a strong working knowledge of CEQA/NEPA compliance regulations, environmental permitting, and land use. Responsibilities in this position will include:

  • identifying and developing new opportunities, prepare effective proposals, and actively developing new business with new and existing clients.
  • training and mentoring staff on CEQA/NEPA and other planning/environmental requirements;
  • preparing and managing complex environmental documentation for a wide variety of projects;
  • conducting complex analysis of data;
  • interacting with clients on mid to large size projects (budgeting, billing, scheduling, invoicing);
  • active involvement in planning/environmental professional organizations;
  • demonstrating confidence in decision-making and be recognized by clients and peers as having expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas; and
  • possessing existing positive relationships with northern California CEQA/NEPA lead agencies.

Background requirements include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Planning or Natural Sciences or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, including project management experience and technical leadership for multidisciplinary projects.

Staff or Senior-level Archaeologists

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking qualified, experienced, and dynamic Staff or Senior-level archaeologists for our Sacramento and San Diego regions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • serving as a Principal Investigator on projects throughout California;
  • providing mentorship and leadership to mid-level and junior staff;
  • coordinating project tasks to meet cost and schedule objectives;
  • supervising and participating in field and laboratory work;
  • supervising groups of Senior, Staff, Associate, and Assistant Archaeologists;
  • authoring cultural resources technical reports;
  • developing new business from referrals from new and/or existing clients and assisting with marketing efforts;
  • preparing cultural resources proposals and assisting with the preparation of multidisciplinary proposals;
  • assisting the Group Manager and/or Department Director with supervision and review of department staff members;
  • advising clients and agencies on compliance matters;
  • serving as a tribal liaison; and
  • training staff in cultural resource project/task completion and reviewing work of other team members.

Minimum requirements include:

  • a master’s or doctorate degree in anthropology or archaeology;
  • a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management consulting in California;
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist (or ability to become certified as such upon hire);
  • ability to carry out fieldwork and/or construction monitoring, which may require periodic travel and work in extreme or challenging physical environments;
  • ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment but also to work independently;
  • a strong working knowledge of the federal and state regulatory settings;
  • proven ability to senior author cultural resource management reports; and
  • knowledge of the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of California.

The following qualities and skills are highly desired:

  • demonstrated experience serving as a consultant in an advisory capacity to clients;
  • project management experience, including a proven ability to be on time and on budget;
  • excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in complex CRM projects;
  • ability to communicate effectively in writing and through oral presentations; and
  • strong organizational skills and work ethic

Archaeological Monitors – on-call

ECORP Consulting, Inc. in Rocklin, California is currently accepting resumes for on-call archaeological monitors for projects in northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. Responsibilities largely include construction monitoring, but may also include pedestrian survey, site mapping and recording, excavation, and other duties as assigned. Some regional travel is required. Qualifications required include a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology or closely related field, at least 2 years of professional experience, human osteology expertise, and a work history that includes projects in Northern California and construction monitoring.
