Restoration Specialist:

Successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the habitat mitigation banking process, from the coordination of initial baseline surveys, through preparation of a Bank Enabling Instrument, and participation in the regulatory agency review and approval process. Responsible for managing botanical surveys, designing and managing wetland, riparian and upland habitat restoration/creation projects, preparing resource management plans. Graduate degree in botany, restoration ecology, biology or related fields preferred. The candidate should have 5+ years in restoration planning and in-depth knowledge of Northern California habitats is required.

Regulatory Specialist/Project Manager:

Regulatory compliance/permitting for public works and private development projects. Duties include permitting pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 7 and 10 of the Endangered Species Act, Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act, and Section 1600 of the California Fish and Game Code; RWQCB compliance, resource management and mitigation planning, impact analysis for CEQA and NEPA documents, report preparation, and coordination with clients and regulatory agencies. BA/BS in biology, environmental science, or closely related field. Graduate degree preferred. The candidate should have 6 years of work experience in wetlands permitting. Experience consulting with regulatory agencies; strong writing and communication skills; in-depth knowledge of wetland and riparian habitats is required.

Environmental Planning Manager:

ECORP Consulting, Inc., a leading environmental consulting company, is seeking a highly-motivated and affable individual to be the Senior Environmental Planner in our Rocklin office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, expanding, and managing a new environmental planning group for Northern California. Responsibilities will include the preparation of CEQA/NEPA environmental compliance documents (private sector, federal, state, and local agencies); mentoring, training, and supervising staff; and independently developing and sustaining relationships with clients and public agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation and review of reports, budgets, and proposals and for managing projects to meet financial targets and timelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with clients and agency staffs, gathering and compiling project and site information, managing sub consultants, and preparing environmental reports to comply with CEQA and NEPA.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible and successful experience in the management of CEQA and NEPA environmental documents. Business development experience, including proposal preparation and existing relationships with Northern California public agencies and private land owners/developers, is a must. Must be able to prepare complex technical sections, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively with multi-disciplinary personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a desire to work on challenging and diverse regulatory compliance, mitigation monitoring, and permitting projects, is a must. Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills. Strong working knowledge of substantive and procedural requirements of CEQA is essential. Must be able to direct others’ work, interpret, and convey quantitative results, and think critically. Experience in environmental documentation for transportation projects and/or General Plans/Specific Plans, a plus. Demonstrated experience managing a group is desirable.

Biological Monitor:

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking responsible and dependable biologists and environmental scientists. We are currently looking to fill biological monitoring positions on challenging and high profile projects involving an array of biological resources spread across Southern California. This will be an excellent career opportunity to work as part of an outstanding environmental consulting team. Professionals should be able to perform biological monitoring and survey activities on large-scale construction projects. B.S. in Biology or related field preferred. Monitors are expected to produce reports daily via computer, have excellent communication skills, familiarity with GPS, performing duties with integrity as requested. Experience in surveying for sensitive vegetative communities/wildlife habitats, performing protocol surveys for sensitive species of southern California, and knowledge of the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act and California Fish & Game Code is a plus. We regularly have projects that arise within the geographic area and seek help for both short and long term projects.

Wildlife and Fisheries Biologists, Botanists, and Restoration Ecologists (entry, mid-level, and senior),

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is currently hiring for all levels of wildlife and fisheries biologists, botanists, and restoration ecologists (entry, mid-level, and senior) in all of our Southern California offices (Redlands, Santa Ana, and San Diego). Job duties include general field surveys for biological resources, sensitive species surveys, jurisdictional waters delineation and permitting, preparation of biological reports, sensitive species permitting, preparation and implementation of mitigation and restoration plans, and preparation of biological resources sections of CEQA and NEPA documents. Mid-level and senior analysts would also have appropriate business development responsibilities for that level. Education requirements include a bachelor’s degree in biology, wildlife management, fisheries, zoology, botany, restoration ecology, or a related field and 0-5 years of experience for an entry-level biologist, 5-7 years of experience for a mid-level biologist, and 7+ years of experience for a senior biologist. Applicable advanced degrees and/or USFWS/CDFG permits and MOUs may substitute for years of experience.

Environmental Planning Manager, Santa Ana / Orange County Office.

ECORP Consulting is seeking a highly-motivated individual to be the Environmental Planning Manager in our Orange County office. Responsibilities will include managing CEQA/NEPA documents, mentoring and training staff, and developing relationships with clients and public agencies. Botanist/Restoration Ecologist.

Responsible for conducting botanical surveys, designing and managing wetland and upland habitat restoration/creation projects, preparing resource management plans. Graduate degree preferred in botany, restoration ecology, biology or related fields. Background in planning for wetland environments is preferred. The candidate should have 5+ years in environmental consulting and in-depth knowledge of Southern California flora is required.
